Blue Trash Bin's Rebirth - The Heichou Sessions
Each time I tried to come back to blogging the shy way (as in "well, don't expect many cool things, I'm not such a good blogger..." and all the self-pitying rubbish you can imagine), I ended up deleting entries or not even bothering to post. Ideas kept coming and coming but even though writing is something I love, I let silly facts intimidate me.
So when this idea came to my mind, I gave myself no chance to hesitate. It was almost 3am and I was supposed to be sleeping. But don't all great ideas come when you're supposed to be sleeping?
Thinking of my two favorite things at the moment, an idea was born:
The Heichou Sessions. A series of entries that involve two things I'm currently obsessed with: Make up and Levi Shingeki no Kyojin.
I began to send asks to all of those Levi cosplayers around Tumblr that caught my attention. I was fascinated by the way so many people could bring to reality one same character, each of them in their own way.
The results are outstanding in my opinion. We all have different facial features, but the way all these faces achieved the ultimate Levi look makes you think they came right out from the pages of the manga, and it kept intriguing me.
I wanted to approach them, make questions to satisfy my own curiosity but also common questions that surface between those who love cosplay in general, or even more specific: those who'd like to try cosplaying this character in particular someday.
It was a surprise to get answers from them that same day! They all have been incredibly kind and sweet, and so willing to participate.
This little corner is not a world wide popular blog, but my love for writing took me here and I wanted to give more credit to those hidden (or not so hidden in some cases) talents.
It actually feels like interviewing a celebrity! I tell you.
So if YOU, reader, are a fan of Shingeki no Kyojin, a fan of Levi or just a fan of cosplay; I hope you enjoy these series.
I'll be interviewing Levi cosplayers I've managed to spot around Tumblr, they'll reveal their thoughts and tips to achieve the perfect Levi look. It might be extremely useful!
Has it happened to you that you decide to try a tutorial from the internet and the magic you see on the screen just doesn't happen on your face? Don't feel discouraged. This is due to so many factors: eye shape, bone structure, lips, even the height of one's forehead.
So why not approach the same look of the same character, as suggested by many great cosplayers that are people just like you! You might have features in common with any of them, and that is the best reference when it comes to chasing a very specific look.
A last little warning: my mother tongue is spanish. I try my best redacting questions and the articles, but I still remain poor in vocabulary for example. So beforehand, please forgive any mistakes or perhaps incomplete ideas that might be around.
Please join me in this special series of articles I decided to call The Heichou Sessions, and let's cross fingers these heichous be kind on us.

Don't be silly! your writing skills are great, for articles and stories. So don't be shy about them! For not having studied journalism, you always have a natural way of making your articles fun and interesting to read, so i'm a current fan and i'm happy that you're writing a new one!
ResponderEliminarI haven't watched SNK as you know, but i sure have seen a lot about it on social networks, and i have to say all the cosplays i have seen are always so cool, so if you are interviewing some of those cosplayers, i'm sure it'll be a very nice journey and as someone who likes cosplaying, i'll probably be able to read some nice tips and experiences.
I am eager to finally watch SNK,but above all, to see what this little series of posts will be like!
Thanks for sharing your crazy 3am idea with us!! let them keep flowing! n_n)/
