Will senpai notice me?

Love is complicated by itself. The whirlpool of emotions involved in the process promise to make you dizzy or walk backward with arms in X in front of yourself to create some protection field from the evil forces.

And if you add to that the weight of culture differences...

Graphic description, basically...

But I suppose when it happens, it happens. Love knows no race, religion or culture. And judging the title, you might have guessed the love destination for this occasion is...

Japan!

Be it someone you met online, that one exchange student that sits next to you, or just someone you met while being in Japan yourself, the culture barrier will make itself be noticed rather quickly no matter the chemistry between both of you. Or perhaps you haven't even had the chance to find out if there's chemistry at all because you simply haven't approached!

So before you start considering Tamaki as a reference...

Don't.

LoveInJapanese is a blog dedicated to disclose some of the most important mysteries concerning Japanese Love Culture. They recently invited me to check out their site and it only took me a few articles to understand that, while Tamaki-kun's intentions were good and his heart was in the right place, his concept as well as the rest of the members' of the Host Club aren't the recipe to follow if you want to conquer your japanese love interest's heart. No offense! I would designate them anytime... but there's definitely more to it.

Covering different levels of contact, from the shallow yet satisfying "Friends with Benefits" (although the link suggested to find such friends is a bit creepy lol) to How to Say I Love you in japanese, this blog will help you understand with simple yet very well explained articles the japanese perspective of love. So even if you're on square... zero, among the different articles you might find one that matches your needs.
Been there, done that?

The site itself still lacks visual appeal and more interactive menus to guide you through the different sections, but it's still growing. Besides, the different articles aim for a serious and pretty neutral perspective... it's more of a guide, they give you the tools for you to get the panorama generally.

The rest would depend on you, of course. Each person is different, and they all have their personal experiences from the past that make them react differently to romantic situations. But a little help won't hurt at all, right?

"Having lived in Japan for 8 years, I have always wondered how people managed to understand Japanese love culture. Through the experience of living in Japan and talking to many of my Japanese friends, I came to realize that Japanese have a very unique love culture compare to western or even some other Asian countries.
If you are interested in dating a Japanese boy/girl, the need of understanding Japanese love culture is not only inevitable but crucial. The aim of loveinjapanese.net is to provide a platform where we can explore Japanese love culture topics."

In my opinion that's a responsible introduction about the blog and shows its good intentions. But, as I just mentioned, since it's still growing their doors are wide open to receive opinions and even interested bloggers who consider they might have something to add to this corner of romance. So why not give it a try? Explore the place, and venture yourself to give your opinions, share experiences, ask questions... anything is valid! This is their contact link.

The downside to this is that... there aren't many articles aimed to females interested in guys!!! Or not just that, there SHOULD be more articles to explore love in Japan in all its vast extension. Are you a guy interested in a japanese guy? Perhaps you're a girl who is interested in a japanese girl? It would be very interesting to find the blog divided in the different possibilities involved in romance, all focused of course in japanese love interests.

And despite the serious style and useful contents of the articles, the Buzzfeed format of "5 Ways to...", "10 Rules...", "5 Most..." might not be so attractive for readers because, no matter how certain the information is, it makes you take the site not so seriously. A more intimate and comfortable approach is needed since it's love we're talking about. But I insist, judge by yourself and feel free to drop your opinions.

Maybe you've heard about the topics explained in the blog, you've read about them or they have been mentioned countless times in your favorite anime series or dramas. But isn't it nice to have everything gathered in one single place?

I'm looking forward to the site's evolution! Now it's up to you, give a chance to this growing blog and find your happy ending despite the cultural barriers.

No matter the misses, Tamaki's hits are what make us love him!

Is it too obvious I've been watching OHSHC recently? The different personalities of the characters give a different approach on love. Quite fanciful, maybe... but those different approaches are the proof that you can experience romance in your own personal way. So have fun exploring!
