Beauty kit for going on an adventure!

"You're in the middle of nowhere... WHY do you need winged liner?!

I... couldn't think of any answer that made sense when my friend asked that for the second time during our trip. Other than... it just feels good

It's not a matter of needing it. It's just a choice. If you want to make it part of your general enjoyment as much as picking a really nice swim wear for your vacation, go for it with no guilt!

However, if your destiny is remote enough that:
-Things like phone signal or wifi are out of question (ouch)
-The night sky will show you clearly all the stars the city doesn't
-A lot of hiking and being under the sun is involved
-There's an itinerary you must fulfill (tic toc tic)
-Things like sharing a room with one person or more are necessary

...Then being selective with your makeup kit will save you a lot of space and precious time that must be invested in other things.

like exploring! (Kama falls. Gran Sabana, Venezuela)

or... admiring the views during your entire adventure!

So let me try making it easier for you with this suggested selection of products, based on my experience:

- Sun Screen:
My choice: L'Oreal Solar Expertise oil free daily sun screen spf 60
I don't need to explain this part. KEEP IT close to you, so try getting one that's small enough to easily fit in your everyday bag.
We tend to forget re-applying is necessary! We sweat, we swim, we rub our skin and make contact with others and our own clothes... so it gradually fades, and your skin needs to be constantly protected.

- BB Cream
My choice: M Perfect Cover BB Cream by Missha, spf 42
They're are a lighter option and come with many benefits you'll skin will be noming specially during those extreme days, while providing with some coverage (if that's what you want). In my case, I like to even out my skintone because of some redness around the nose, etc.
Try picking one with a high spf, apply it in the morning and remember to re-apply when it's necessary. If the spf is rather low, then use your sun screen under it, but the best way to go is the first one instead of adding layers of different products. You wanna go the lightest.

- Lip balm:
My choice: Agatha Ruiz De La Prada lip balm, cherry
The one you prefer, in any shape, any flavor, tinted or clear... it doesn't matter. Just keep your lips moisturized. If it has spf even better!

- Very pigmented brown shadow:
My choice: Valmy cosmetics Perfect Finish brow shadow in Dark
Multitasking time for your kit! Two things can make a huge difference in your look without adding anything else: nice shaped eyebrows and thicker lashes. You'll look more awake and youthful instantly. So, while I preferred skipping mascara in my "go to" routine for those days, I used a very pigmented brown eyeshadow to line my upper lashline. Done! Thicker lashes in seconds. Did you know that's the main goal of eyeliner? The appearance of thicker lashes. The same shadow I used to shape and fill my brows. In conclusion, the very mentioned cat eye? Only with shadow. An angled brush will help you work on both areas, so keep it close as your only brush in this kit.

- Mini palette with neutral colors:
My choice: L.A. Colors, 5 Colors metallic eyeshadows in Tea Time
Because you can't go wrong with neutral tones. No matter the reduced time or space, there won't be wrong color combinations or hard times trying to decide for a look. Also, it's a very small palette.

This is the final look with all the products used. You can tell things like blush aren't necessary with nature so willing to provide it on its own.

And that was absolutely it! Depending on how much space you have available and circumstances themselves you can add any other thing you want. But just letting you know this will do the entire job and anything else is nothing but an extra. In the end, what truly matters is making the best out of your time next to those who are dear to you:

I hope this was helpful. See you soon!
